Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

At The Kindness Crew, we want children and families to have a fun, positive and safe experience. Protecting your privacy is part of that.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and what we do with it.

Who we are

The Kindness Crew is operated by Unseen Aware Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom.

For data protection purposes, Unseen Aware Limited is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.

If you have any questions about your information or this Privacy Policy, please contact us at:

Information we collect when your child joins The Kindness Crew

Children don’t need their own email address or account to join The Kindness Crew.

Instead, a parent or guardian signs them up.

We ask for:

  • the parent or guardian’s first name;
  • the parent or guardian’s email address; and
  • the child’s first name, if you choose to provide it.

Your child’s first name is optional.

We don’t ask for your child’s surname, email address, home address or school when they join the Crew.

Why we use this information

We use your information to manage your child’s participation in The Kindness Crew and to send you Kindness Crew content for them.

This may include new stories, comics, videos, activities, Secret Missions, news from the Crew and occasional surprises.

If you provide your child’s first name, we may use it to personalise some of these communications.

We don’t use your child’s first name to contact them directly.

Our legal basis for using your information

When you ask for your child to join The Kindness Crew and agree to receive our emails, we rely on your consent to send those communications.

You can withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send you.

Withdrawing your consent won’t affect anything we’ve already done lawfully before you withdrew it.

Email communications

Our emails are sent to the parent or guardian, not directly to the child.

We use Kit.com to manage our mailing list and send these emails. This means the information you provide when joining The Kindness Crew is processed using Kit.com’s systems.

You can unsubscribe from Crew emails at any time using the unsubscribe link contained in our emails.

Contacting us

If you contact us through our website, we may collect your name, email address and the information you include in your message.

We use this information to respond to your enquiry and to manage our communications with you. Please don’t include unnecessary personal information about a child in your message.

Children’s privacy

The Kindness Crew is designed for children and families, so protecting children’s privacy is particularly important to us.

We deliberately collect as little information about children as possible.

When joining the Crew, the only information we invite a parent or guardian to provide about their child is their first name, and providing this is optional.

We don’t ask children to provide us with their own email address.

The Kindness Crew Gallery

Parents and guardians may also be able to submit children’s artwork or other creations for possible inclusion in The Kindness Crew Gallery.

Gallery submissions are reviewed before they are published.

We ask parents and guardians not to include identifying information such as a child’s surname, school, home address or location in an image or description.

We may edit or remove information accompanying a submission if we believe this is necessary to protect a child’s privacy.

Who we share information with

We don’t sell your personal information.

We use trusted service providers to help us operate The Kindness Crew. These may include providers that help us host our website, manage our email communications and provide other technical services.

They may process personal information on our behalf where this is necessary to provide those services.

Where personal information is transferred outside the UK, we take appropriate steps to ensure that it is protected in accordance with UK data protection law.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this policy.

If you unsubscribe from our emails, we may retain limited information about your email address so that we can record your preference and make sure we don’t accidentally contact you again.

Your rights

UK data protection law gives you rights over your personal information.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include the right to:

  • ask us what personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate information;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • ask us to restrict how we use your information;
  • object to certain uses of your information; and
  • withdraw your consent where we rely upon consent.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at hello@wearethekindnesscrew.com

You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator.

Keeping children safe

Please don’t send us information about a child that we don’t need.

In particular, please don’t provide a child’s surname, home address, school, personal contact details or other information that could unnecessarily identify or locate them.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

As The Kindness Crew grows, we may introduce new activities and features.

If this changes the way we collect or use personal information, we’ll update this Privacy Policy accordingly and change the date shown at the top of this page.
